Is it hard to start a blog?

Starting a blog is not as hard as you would expect. While there is a bit of a learning curve involved, with a little time and patience, even the least tech-savvy people can learn.

I like to say that if you can use social media sites like Facebook or Twitter and have a good understanding of email, you can learn to start a blog.

What is the best host to use?

The host we recommend using depends on where you are in your blogging journey, and how much money you’d like to invest in your website.

For new bloggers just getting started, we suggest either a free platform, or an inexpensive shared plan through Bluehost. Once you start making money, we recommend upgrading to WPEngine.

How do I make money on my blog?

There are plenty of different ways to make money once you launch a blog and start seeing traffic. You can make money on ads, product reviews, sponsored posts, and so much more.

If you’re creative, there’s almost always a unique way to monetize your traffic.

Can I become a full-time blogger and quit my dayjob?

Should I build an email list?

Talk to any experienced digital marketer and you’ll surely be told to build an email list as soon as you can. Email is the most intimate form of communication with your readers, and also one of the most lucrative ways to sell things to your loyal audience. Don’t skip out on this one, build a list right away!

Should I guest post on other people’s blogs?

Guest posting is hands down one of the best ways to get your name out there and tap into an existing and related audience. It also provides valuable backlinks to your blog, giving you both brand exposure and SEO benefits.

But be sure to only add value to other websites, being careful to avoid spamming. The community is tighter than you’d think and will turn against you if you push self-promotion too much.

Can I hire you to build or grow my blog?

Currently, I don’t offer freelance work for other bloggers. However, if that changes I’ll make a big announcement.

If you’re looking for a great contractor, shoot me an email and I’ll be happy to hook you up with one of our trusted partners.
